How To Clean Headset Foam
If your earphones have foam covers you can also remove and clean those with warm water and soap.
How to clean headset foam. This will allow the foam to absorb the warm water and effectively become disinfected. Dont use any kind of bleach. Then wipe down your headphone pads.
Gently remove the cover from the inner foam material. This will kill any bacteria or microbes that may be present. It is better to use a microfiber to wipe down the dust and sweat near the pads.
Make sure they do not contain any skin conditioner like aloe. Be very careful when cleaning and dont scrub too harshly. Wipe dry with some paper towels and leave to air dry completely.
Wash the AirWeave or mesh with warm soapy water and allow to airdry completely before reattaching the foam. Remove the ear pads and wipe the exterior of the headphones down with a small cloth dampened with some soap and warm water. If the ear pads do come off you can clean them in water with a small amount of liquid laundry soap let them air dry and then put them back on the headset.
Get the foam away from the headset and then carefully wash the foam portion using cool water and a gentle cloth. After you pop that piece you can just pull up on the headband form. For that see the following steps.
The cloth covers will make the existing pads last because you can just replace the cloth covers when they get grungy. Gently wipe the area you want to clean but dont soak it in water or run water over it. Remember youre dealing with expensive equipment.
